Her mother shares their story in hopes it will save another child and family.Wednesday, November 1st 2023, 4:22 pm By: News 9 MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – A 16-year-old girl from Oklahoma was shot in the face, and the incident was caught live on Instagram.The shooting happened back in August when 16-year-old Anyra Sikes and her sisters were home alone.Her mom says two teen boys, who they knew, came to their house with guns.They began playing with the guns, pointing them at each other while recording a video. The boy recording then pulls the trigger, shooting Anyra in the jaw.“All I heard was the gun go off. But I didn’t feel the shot hit me. I thought it hit my sister,” said Anyra.Anyra and her sisters would jump on an Instagram live listening to music. It’s something they do all the time.
