Oprah Winfrey just reached an exciting milestone in her fitness journey. Two years ago, the media mogul set a goal for herself when she started strength training. Now, at the age of 72, she’s exceeded her own expectations. On Feb. 17, Winfrey shared a video of herself hitting the gym in 2024 and 2026 to display the progress she’s made. At the beginning of the video, Winfrey described why she was inspired to start strength training. “As we age, and we want to age well, one of the things I’ve learned is that flexibility and strength is the most important, particularly for women and our bones. And so I’ve started strength training,” she said. At the time, Winfrey’s goal was to successfully lift a weight while completing a plank, a move otherwise known as a renegade row. “And to do it where I’m not dying,” she teased. In video footage of her early forays into planks, Winfrey was seen struggling to hold the position after staying in place for 10 seconds.
