After coming in at No. 7 in the AP Top 25 this week, Oregon football got some major respect from the playoff committee, earning the No. 4 spot in the playoff rankings.Everyone was shocked that it wasn’t Ohio State or Oklahoma or even Cincinnati in that No. 4 spot, but that just goes to show how much the committee valued the Ducks’ road win over then-No. 3 Ohio State in Week 2. Couple that with a solid win over UCLA a couple of weeks ago and then some style points added from Week 9’s win over Colorado and it makes more sense.I still can’t say that I saw this coming.In fact, in my ‘where will Oregon be ranked?’ post from earlier on Tuesday, I projected the Ducks to come in at No. 7 in the rankings.
