The collision occurred on Sept. 7, when the officer, driving a marked police SUV north on Conroy Road and responding to a call involving a missing child, stopped behind another vehicle at a red light at Hunt Club Road. After activating her siren and emergency lights, the officer passed the stopped vehicle and entered the intersection. At the same time, another vehicle entered the intersection travelling west on Hunt Club Road. The officer’s cruiser struck that vehicle, resulting in the female driver of the civilian vehicle being diagnosed with a concussion and the male passenger suffering fractures of the left wrist and spine.
