BUNNELL, Fla. — A 14-year-old student at Flagler-Palm Coast High School was arrested Tuesday after allegedly sending a Snapchat message threatening to “shoot up” the school, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation began when the student and his parent met with a School Resource Deputy to self-report a message sent at the end of the school day on Monday. While the student initially claimed he used the slang term “slimeyou” — which he defined as an intent to hurt or shoot — to be “edgy,” investigators found the actual messages were more direct. According to the sheriff’s office, the student originally told deputies he messaged a group of 13 peers saying, “slimeyou out #dontcome to school,” later claiming it was a joke. However, screenshots provided by another student in the group chat contradicted that account.
