The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is soliciting public comments for the Draft Agency Decision Statement (ADS) for the Phillips Pipeline Co. (I-70 & 57th St Leak Site) in Kansas City, Kansas. This Draft ADS identifies the preferred remedial alternatives to address residual contamination at the Site. A 15-day public comment period from August 25, 2026, through September 9, 2026, will be provided to submit written comments. Comments must be received by KDHE no later than 5:00 pm on September 9, 2026. KDHE will select a final remedy after reviewing and considering information submitted during the 15-day public comment period. KDHE may modify this alternative or select another response action based on new information or public comments. All comments that are received by KDHE prior to the end of the public comment period will be addressed in the Responsiveness Summary Section of the Final ADS.
