The Potter County Snowmobile Association is speeding into the new year with the promise of seasonal weather and a lineup of frosty events. The PCSA, which was founded in 1969 with the current clubhouse built in 1975, has drawn many participants and spectators over the last few years, said chairman Guy Wheeler. “Last year, 68 sleds raced the vintage oval,” he said. “For every guy on a sled, it takes three more to help them, so we get a good crowd. Last year was a good year for spectators.” The PCSA meeting schedule is as follows: Jan. 13., Feb. 10, March 10 and April 14. Races will take place on the following dates: Jan. 17 with a Jan. 24 race if the 17th doesn’t have snow; and Feb. 14, with a Feb. 21 race if the 14th doesn’t have snow. All events are held at the PCSA clubhouse at 942 North Hollow Road, Coudersport. Races have a goal start time of 10 a.m. “Ideal conditions are 22-25 degrees, up to 30 is OK,” said Wheeler. “And the more snow the better — if we get 10 inches, people can ride in instead of driving in, which is our goal.” The
