I have no problem with this and was aware that I would have to pay yearly fees.  However, we have requested a copy of the budget for this year and next year. Our fees were raised approximately $30 a year. We were told that they do not release the budget to anyone.  Is there anything we can do and is this legal?Signed, R.O.Dear R.O.,The first question I would ask is how this extra club membership is structured. I am assuming from your question that the clubhouse is not simply a part of your HOA, in which even you would certainly be entitled to see the budget. Instead, let’s assume that the clubhouse is operated by a separate not-for-profit entity that is unrelated to the HOA, and you are simply obligated, due to your ownership in the HOA, to also be a member of this club (that would be typical of mandatory membership).
