Police alerted to ‘disgusting and disturbing’ message to AFL captain – Nine

Adelaide captain Jordan Dawson has strongly condemned a troll on social media, who sent him a vile message on Instagram following his side’s semi final loss to Brisbane. Nine.com.au has decided not to publish the message or convey what it suggested. Adelaide CEO Tim Silvers slammed the abuse on Sunday, not only directed at Dawson, but at teammate Callum Ah Chee, who was racially abused on social media himself following the loss. “Unfortunately, this disgusting and disturbing behaviour is becoming more common,” Silvers said. “It’s simply not good enough, and it has to stop. There’s no place for it in our community. “We will provide Jordan and Cal with the appropriate support, as is the case when any of our people are subjected to online attacks and abuse. “We will also be reporting these latest incidents to SA Police and the AFL’s integrity unit.” The 29-year-old Dawson endured
