Police Apprehend Teenager For Hacking Celebrity WhatsApp Accounts Selling Explicit Content

The Delta State Police Command has uncovered a sophisticated cybercrime scheme involving a 17-year-old student who allegedly hacked into the WhatsApp accounts of prominent celebrities to solicit funds and distribute explicit materials. The suspect, whose identity remains withheld due to his age, was also found to be operating a “syndicate” within his school, where he allegedly sold pornographic content to his classmates. During an interactive session with popular comedian Otaghware Onodjayeke, also known as “I Go Save,” the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ugborikoko Division in Uvwie Local Government Area, Temi Agbede Zuokumor, disclosed that the teenager was apprehended during a routine check. According to the DPO, the investigation took a suspicious turn when the suspect’s mother attempted to shield him by claiming the mobile device found in his possession belonged to his sister. “The woman looked very modest, so I asked her if she was from Deeper Life. She said no. I then asked why her son took a phone to school, and she claimed it belonged to his sister,” Agbede Zuokumor stated.
