Police Issue Warnings After AI Homeless Prank Causes Major Security Concerns

Snapchat’s AI tools are causing major headaches for law enforcement in the United States after kids have been using the latest “homeless” filter to create fake videos to scare people and pull pranks. The trend has grown so out of control that law enforcement have issued warnings asking people to stop pulling pranks using the filter and instead, find other content to create.  The filter has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. It essentially sees people use the Snapchat AI tool to create images of a dirty man in their home, and kids are sending these photos to their parents. The tool is quite versatile to the point where you can picture this dirty man sitting on your couch, or even lying in bed.  Of course, kids are then picturing themselves lying next to the man or perhaps sitting next to him in an overly friendly manner. Once created, these images are sent to parents, and the kids film the reactions and upload them to TikTok. Here, they garner millions of views as the parents obviously freak out about it.  However, the issue here is that parents have started calling the police regarding this “dirty man” in their homes.
