Scott Ijomanta, 38, brutally raped a 14-year-old girl after taking her hostage at his flat in Maryhill, Glasgow in August 2024 – while out on bail for grooming two other youngsters. He was jailed for 10 years on Friday when he appeared at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday (May 22) and was also handed a lifelong non-harassment order. The sick sex offender claimed he was just 12 while trawling Snapchat for young girls, and told his victim at one stage: “I can see that you are terrified – it just makes me want to kill you.” Passing sentence, Judge Tom Hughes told him: “This type of offending is totally and utterly unacceptable.
