NORRISTOWN — A Pottstown man who used Facebook to harass a New Hanover Township police officer on whom he was allegedly “fixated” is headed to jail. Andre L. Wilson, 51, of the 900 block of North Washington Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 4 to 12 months in the county jail on a misdemeanor charge of harassment in connection with the November 2024 incident. In a separate order, Judge Wendy G. Rothstein said Wilson is to have no contact with New Hanover Police Officer David Fugelo, the victim of the harassment, or his family, “that includes, but is not limited to, contact in person, through telephone, text messages, email, social media or any other electronic means. This applies to the defendant and anyone acting on behalf of the defendant.” “Defendant is prohibited from posting anything on social media referencing Officer Fugelo or any other member of the New Hanover Township Police Department,” Rothstein wrote in the order dated Oct. 31. A jury convicted Wilson of the harassment charge during a one-day trial in August. That jury acquitted Wilson of other misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats and stalking.
