Project update Federal Way Link Extension’s  Traffic Mitigation Construction Contractor crews working for Sound Transit are currently  working in your neighborhood to implement  roadway improvements  as we prepare for the Federal Way Link Extension  (FWLE)  opening  on  Dec . 6. These efforts aim to improve traffic flow and safety around the project area.   What  you’re seeing   Work will continue in the coming weeks. This effort includes lane closures, temporary detours, and changes to traffic patterns near FWLE stations. We appreciate your patience as we understand these changes can be disruptive.   Why this work matters   For drivers, these upgrades will improve traffic flow while enhancing visibility and safety at key intersections.
