Quartet Of Lady Roadrunners Named To NAIA Women's Collegiate Golf All-American Team

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has announced the 2020-21 student-athlete and coaches awards for NAIA Women’s Collegiate Golf. The awards are selected by a prestigious collection of women’s collegiate golf coaches. For more information, please visit www.wgcagolf.com. Dalton State placed 4 golfers on the All-American squad with freshman Mailey Buzzell and sophomore Sydney Hermann garnering 2nd team honors. Both ladies competed in 9 events with neither finishing outside the top-15 during regular tournament play. Buzzell collected 2 wins, 7 top-5’s, and 8 top-10’s with a scoring average of 74.75, while Hermann netted 4 top-5’s and 7 top-10’s with a scoring average of 76.37. Cameron Daniel and Isabel Rijos made honorable mention. Daniel racked up 5 top-5’s and 7 top-10’s in 9 tournaments played while recorded a scoring average of 76.52. This is the 2nd mention on the WGCA list for Rijos who made the inaugural team last season.
