The Rajasthan government has introduced a new digital initiative that allows consumers of Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) to access essential electricity services through WhatsApp, making utility services faster and more convenient. The move is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to strengthen digital governance and improve citizen service delivery by integrating public services with the e-Mitra WhatsApp platform. Advertisement Key Electricity Services Now Available on WhatsApp With the new facility, JVVNL consumers can access a range of services by sending a message to the official e-Mitra WhatsApp number. The platform enables users to: Register electricity-related complaints. Download their electricity bills. Track the status of registered complaints. Retrieve their K-number (consumer number). The initiative aims to simplify access to utility services while reducing the need for consumers to visit electricity offices for routine requests. Part of Rajasthan’s Digital Governance Push The service has been developed jointly by the Department of Information Technology (DoIT), the e-Mitra team, and the Energy Department.
