‘Due to grooming equipment issues, we are currently unable to maintain safe conditions on the mountain,’ says a Facebook statement from Searchmont Searchmont Resort will be closed today due to recurring mechanical malfunctions, according to a post on Facebook. “Our team has been working diligently to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all Searchmont guests. Due to grooming equipment issues, we are currently unable to maintain safe conditions on the mountain. “A new groomer is on its way, and we are working to restore operations as quickly as possible. Operation of the FIS Mid- AM Race continued to run as grooming was not required. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the mountain.” This is not the first time the resort has been closed this winter. Last month it reported that one of its three lifts would be out of service for the entire season.
