BATON ROUGE, La. — East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Slidell man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl he allegedly met on Snapchat, according to our partners at The Times-Picayune. Lemarkis Harry, 32, was booked Sunday on counts of first-degree rape, indecent behavior with juveniles, computer-aided solicitation of a minor, and obstruction of justice, arrest records show. According to Nola.com, investigators found Snapchat messages on the victim’s phone between the man and the girl that allegedly referenced a rape kit potentially finding his DNA. Detectives said the girl told investigators she met the man on Snapchat after he allegedly told her he was 13 years old. Authorities said the two communicated for about two months. As our partners report, the affidavit states the victim admitted to detectives that she had sexual intercourse with the accused man.
