Dr. Josh McGowan Three Troy University professors have landed on Forbes.com for their research into why the country is facing a shortage of accountants. Dr. Josh McGowan, Director of the Carr School of Accounting, Dr. Ryan Dunn and Dr. Ventsi Stamenov, both assistant professors in the School, are featured for a March 26th article entitled “The Accounting Pipeline Shortage: Are We Making Progress,” released in Accounting Horizons, a web publication of the American Accounting Association. Dr. Ryan Dunn Their study examines whether the accounting industry is doing enough to counter heavy workloads, insufficient compensation and lower job satisfaction to make the accounting field more attractive to new students and CPAs. “We are honored to have our research highlighted by Forbes.
