Sask. man accused of luring child on Snapchat; could be more victims – SaskToday.ca

Police say he had Snapchat profiles with the names of Maximum_max11, MaxxyMaxlove, and Stretch_Enjoyer. SASKATOON – Saskatoon RCMP Provincial General Investigation Section has charged a 29-year-old man from Regina with sexual assault, sexual interference, and possession of child pornography stemming from an extensive investigation that began by Saskatchewan RCMP in July. The man was arrested at a home in West Kelowna, British Columbia, on Sept. 30 after RCMP executed a search warrant. During the search, electronic devices were located and seized for examination. Police say there could be more victims. The man, who police say they won’t identify to protect the identity of the youth victim and to abide by a publication ban requested, had the Snapchat profiles of Maximum_max11, MaxxyMaxlove, and Stretch_Enjoyer. Anyone who has had contact with someone using those names/handles on Snapchat, or other social media/communication platforms, are encouraged to contact their local police service and make a report. Police are cautioning youth to be vigilant when speaking with strangers online. Parents are asked to discuss safety precautions with their children. The accused was brought back to Saskatchewan on Oct. 2, held in custody and made his first court appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court Oct. 3.  Sask.
