When Snapchat will not open the back camera, you either need to switch the camera view, allow camera access, or fix a phone-level camera block. Start with the fast checks, then move through permissions, cache, updates, and device restrictions until the rear camera works again. 1. Flip To The Rear Camera First Open Snapchat and stay on the Camera screen. Tap the loop camera icon to switch from the selfie camera to the rear-facing camera, or double-tap the screen to switch cameras faster. If you are using Dual Camera, tap the Dual Camera icon in the Camera toolbar, choose a layout, then tap the flip camera button to change which camera is the main view.
