Snapchat introduces Topic Chats feature for public conversations: Here’s how it works

Snapchat has introduced a new feature called Topic Chats. The company claims that the feature has been designed to bring its popular chat tools into the public sphere and enable conversations around trending topics and events. “Topic chats are simple. They bring our most popular chat features to public conversations about what’s happening in the world and in your community, and they cluster Snaps about that topic to make it easy to explore what’s happening visually,” said Snapchat in a blog post. The Snapchat Topic Chats will enable the users to join public discussions about what’s happening in the world and their communities. The feature will cluster Snaps related to a particular subject making it easier for the users to visually explore the point of discussion and engage with others. Along with this, users will also see a yellow ‘Join the Chat’ button present on Stories or Spotlight videos. This button will offer instant access to ongoing conversations.
