| Less than a week ago, we learned that FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance judge Matthew Morrison (Glee, AHS 1984) had departed the dance competition series over a failure to (as he wrote in a statement, see below) “follow competition production protocols, ” PEOPLE is reporting from a source close to the FOX series that Morrison was fired “after he had an inappropriate relationship with a female contestant.” Though representatives for Morrison and FOX hadn’t responded to requests for comment as of this writing, the source told PEOPLE, “They didn’t have sex, but he reached out to her through flirty direct messages on social media. She felt uncomfortable with his line of comments and went to producers, who then got FOX involved.
