Christopher Walker, Wichita Falls Times Record News Published 2:20 p.m. CT May 9, 2021 CLOSEA suspect in the Studio E Nightclub shooting is behind bars on money laundering charges.According to the police report:On Mar. 25, members of the Wichita Falls Gang Task Force saw Kingston Russell and another person commit a traffic violation. During the traffic stop officers found marijuana, marijuana “blunts,” a digital scale and a brown paper bag containing a large sum of money. Russell told them he did not have a job and the money was given to him by his “baby mama.”Officers knew Russell sells marijuana and have seen it posted on his social media account. Police believed the money was from the sales and seized it. Their report noted the $5,400 was in denominations commonly used in small narcotic sales. They also discovered he had been arrested five times in the past four years for marijuana offenses, one involving a firearm.On the day of his arrest, officers obtained video from Russell’s Snapchat account of him attempting to sell the same type of individual marijuana “blunts” the officers seized from him.
