Ooh, Heaven is a place on Earth — or rather, a place on the internet, and that place is Sufjan Stevens’ Instagram account, of course. As it has been for a number of years, @sufjan has been “rebroadcasting sufjan.com” (Stevens’ Tumblr-hosted homepage), posting inspirational quotes, visual artwork, music and various ephemera. However, recently — seemingly inspired by Stevens’ move from the hustle and bustle of New York City to the picturesque Catskills Mountains — his posts have taken on a much more tranquil mood, as the artist offers up photos of his homesteading yield, craft projects, tie-dyed textiles and the sort. You can trace this slow-going shift back to June of this year, which appears to be around the time Stevens began photographing his harvests.
