MOSCOW, Idaho – For the first time this season, Idaho Swim and Dive competed in the comforts of the University Swim Center, hosting back-to-back afternoon contests vs. Northern Arizona on Halloween and the University of Denver the following Saturday. NAU came into Moscow riding high off of over a decade’s worth of success, having won the last 12 consecutive WAC titles before joining the MPSF alongside the Vandals in the offseason. The Brave and Bold came into the matchup ready to make a statement and did just that, riding multiple historic performances to a 160.5-139.5 win over the 12-time defending league champs. Big moments led Vandal Swim and Dive to the win, including a career outing from Marie Mason , who set a new school record of 10:09.11 in the 1000 Y Freestyle. The sophomore recorded the first record time of her career and set the tone for the rest of the night. Isabelle Borke added another win to her season total, finishing with a 1:51.38 in the 200 Y Freestyle, trailed only just by Holly Lenarz with a second-overall time of 1:52.68.
