Tenby AFC awarded £2,500 grant to support clubhouse upgrade – The Western Telegraph

TENBY AFC has been granted £2,500 for clubhouse renovations. The decision was made at the Tenby Town Council full council meeting on June 9. The mayor, Councillor Dai Morgan, visited the site and noted that the clubhouse had changed little since his youth. Tenby AFC’s application said the funds will assist with the refurbishment and renovation of the outdated clubhouse. The full cost of the project is estimated to be £20,000. Tenby AFC has around 365 players across its teams and is run by volunteers. It also plays a vital part of the community, with the clubhouse on the Clicketts also playing host to many different sports, The council noted the club had gone from strength to strength, and that it would be a positive to commit funds to sporting and youth organisations that do so much for youngsters of the town. Councillor Tom Sloan proposed the grant, which was unanimously agreed upon.
