The constant pinging of emails merging with the ever distracting Instagram and Snapchat notifications that lure you out of concentration.  The current state of learning for young people in January 2021 is one which is unusual, to say the least. For some, this distanced form of learning serves as a benefit: more time to spend with family, a lie-in with no morning commute, learning in the comfort of your own home and more free time. Yet, many young people are equally suffering from the inevitable drawbacks of such a method of learning.  With England’s children being forced into a second bout of online learning with the closure of schools in a bid to tackle the rising COVID-19 cases and schools not opening for another month at least, I asked some year 12 students for their views on what online schooling has been like for them.
