It’s been a whirlwind the past couple of weeks for Iggy Suarez. When WooSox manager Chad Tracy was elevated to interim manager of the big club in Boston, Suarez was named interim manager of the Sox top minor league club in Worcester. Suarez, in this week’s Inside The Clubhouse, told Spectrum News’ Kevin Shea things are settling down, “As of right now, things are slowing down a little bit. I mean, first, it was a quick couple of days. I mean, getting the news that fast. I mean, things are moving pretty quick. But we got on the road lucky. We had that week away from the noise a little bit, and we come back home. So things are slowing down a little bit.” Suarez said he’s talked with Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy often. Both are going through the same dramatic changes. Suarez, “I mean, we’re still in contact. Just kind of checking in on each other. He texts me, asking me how I’m doing it. I’m like, it’s the other way around. How are you doing? He’s dealing with a lot up there. So no, we’re definitely keeping in touch and checking in on each other and seeing how we’re doing it. We’re still sane.
