Twitch Is Lowering Subscription Prices In The UK

The UK and Ireland are the latest to get Twitch’s local sub pricing. Twitch’s local sub pricing continues to make its way around the globe as the price decrease has finally hit Europe. Fans can now show their support to their favorite streamers at a lower cost. Tier 1, the most affordable Twitch streamer subscription, is set at $4.99 USD. The price is translated into local currencies around the world. However, according to Twitch, this has made subscribing “…not equally affordable around the world…”, which is directly reflected in the amount of paid subscribers in different regions. Twitch states that “active users in Europe or Asia who support creators with a subscription is roughly 50% lower relative to North America. In Latin America, it’s nearly 80% lower.” To combat this, Twitch began rolling out local sub pricing – an adjustment of the price of subscriptions based on geographical location.
