Twitch to Support Nonprofits After Emiru’s Assault at TwitchCon – SSBCrack News

Twitch has issued a heartfelt statement following a distressing incident involving popular streamer Emiru, who was assaulted during a meet-and-greet at the TwitchCon event in San Diego earlier this month. The company expressed deep regret for failing to ensure her safety, noting that they take the responsibility of protecting attendees seriously but did not succeed in this instance. In a post on X, Twitch detailed that on the first day of the 2025 TwitchCon event, one of its valued creators, known as Emiru (real name Emily-Beth Schunk), was assaulted by an attendee. Emiru recalled that after receiving a tip about the assailant, Twitch eventually provided his name to the police, but only after substantial pressure from her team.
