Two-time alumnus Eric Sloan appointed to Troy University Alumni Association’s Board of Directors

Troy University alumnus and President and CEO of 1 Sync Technologies Eric Sloan has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Troy University Alumni Association. Sloan is a two-time TROY graduate, earning his bachelor’s degree in computer science in 2000 and his Master of Business Administration in 2005. Sloan called the appointment a tremendous honor. “TROY has played a significant role in shaping both my personal and professional life,” he said. “Being selected to be on the Alumni Board is an honor but also is an opportunity to give back to an institution that invested in me and my future.” Sloan is the newest member of the Troy University Alumni Association’s Board of Directors. For Sloan, TROY has always represented opportunity. In the late 1990s, he distinguished himself as a formidable All-American defensive back for the then-Troy State Trojans, consistently challenging opposing quarterbacks and wide receivers. Initially joining TROY as a walk-on for Coach John Mayotte’s baseball team, his passion soon shifted to football, where he excelled under Coach Larry Blakeney.
