Vermont Skiing Finishes Second in the Williams Carnival Following Day Two of Competition

HANCOCK, MA./WOODFORD, Vt. – On Saturday morning, the Williams Carnival wrapped up with day two of competition from Jiminy Peak and Prospect Mtn. The men’s and women’s Nordic teams competed in the 3×5 CL relay, while the Alpine squads competed in the Slalom. Vermont placed second in the carnival with 754 total points. Dartmouth won the carnival with 935 total points and Middlebury rounded out the top three in third with 704 total points.     RELATED LINKS Williams Carnival Results   The men’s Alpine squad placed second in the slalom with 97 points and three skiers in the top 20 of finishers. Oskar Gillberg was Vermont’s best finisher, in fourth with a two-run time of 1:36.06 and 41 EISA points, his second top five finish of the season. Magnus Berge Styren followed in eighth, with a two-run time of 1:36.63, earning 33 points for the team, his second-best finish of the season. Sebastian Weiss placed 19th with a two-run time of 1:37.71 and 23 EISA points.   For the women’s squad, Kendahl Roufa was the lone Vermont finisher, placing tenth with a two-run time of 1:39.15, earning 31 EISA points, her fourth top ten finish of the season.
