A Victorian man who raped his sleeping friend after sending her a series of late-night messages that received no response has been jailed for at least three years and 10 months.The 29-year-old Phillip Island man, who cannot be named, raped the woman, then 25, at Cowes in March 2020.He messaged her on Snapchat after she left a party they had both attended, asking “where you at”.The man then walked to the house the woman was staying at, which was unlocked, looking for a phone charger.Another man also at the home asked what the 29-year-old was doing and walked him home.A Phillip Island man who raped his sleeping friend has been jailed.
