The “Splash Brothers” could return to full strength at some point during the 2021-22 season. Thompson hasn’t played since Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals, which feels like an eternity ago. He tore his ACL that night. The lethal three-point shooter was supposed to return for the 2020-21 season, but suffered yet another disastrous setback when he tore his right Achilles tendon on Nov. 18 of 2020. Thompson has since traveled a long and tumultuous journey. He reached a major milestone along the journey on Tuesday. The veteran shooting guard got a light workout in on the court at Chase Center Arena on Tuesday.
