An estimated 4.5billion people (around 57 per cent of the global population) use platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, but few make plans for how they want their online profiles to be dealt with once they pass away. The study, carried out by Affordable Funerals also found that one in nine want them to be turned into posthumous memorials.
