WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app, is introducing a revamped voice call interface, which is now available to select users. WhatsApp has evolved from being merely a messaging and talking app to a full-fledged communication service. That is, you can now make a voice call, a video call, or discuss your everyday life via status, among other things. The recent rollout is only available to a small group of Android beta testers. The voice calling feature was first implemented in 2015. This was following Facebook’s (now Meta) acquisition of WhatsApp in 2014.
