WHATSAPP, an instant messaging app, is developing a broadcast channel (similar to Telegram) conversation and 12 more features, WABetaInfo reported. It will roll out in a future version of the Meta-owned app. According to the news tracker, the features were available in the ‘WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.10.19’ update on Play Store. Channels will be a part of the ‘Updates’ tab with status updates. It offers privacy to users as the contact numbers are kept secretive from followers and the creator. These channels are under development and not ready for a beta release currently.
