LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats (1-9-4, 1-4-2 SBC) are set for their final home match of the 2026 season on Friday night against the Georgia Southern Eagles (6-4-4, 2-3-2 SBC) at the Bell Soccer Complex. Kentucky will face Georgia Southern for the 7th time in program history. Last year, the Wildcats defeated the 20th-ranked Eagles in an upset 2-1 win on the road in Statesboro to improve their all-time series record to 3-1-2. The Wildcats are coming off a scoreless draw against James Madison last week in Harrisonburg, securing a crucial point in the hopes of qualifying for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, which is set to begin on Nov. 8. Four Wildcats are tied for the team lead in the scoring department entering the final two games of the regular season, including midfielders Agustin Lopez and Yasha Schaerer, and forwards Costa Iliadis and Michael Lee. Kentucky has also gotten goal scoring contributions from six other players this season. On the defensive end, goalkeeper Benjamin Rasmussen ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference in saves with 48 and recorded his first career clean sheet in the draw at James Madison.
