A WOMAN who assaulted another woman has denied posting about the incident on Snapchat. During a hearing, Tullamore district court was told that on August 18, 2022, a woman reported she had been assaulted by Natalie Hyland of 43, Church View, Tullamore, Offaly. This had followed a verbal altercation. Ms Hyland, the court heard,  had hit the injured party over the head and she had admitted the assault. The incident, which was captured on CCTV, showed Natalie Hyland hitting the injured party on the head and on the legs. Judge Andrew Cody said he had a picture in front of him of someone on social media holding the summons which was served on Natalie Hyland and the words – “this is not over young girl”. Solicitor Donal Farrelly said Ms Hyland had not posted this. Judge Cody asked her who had posted it as it was her summons. Ms Hyland replied that she didn’t know. Who else would have put it up? asked Judge Cody. Solicitor Donal Farrelly said Ms Hyland was extremely honest.
