Waves of heat, storms, and humidity this workweek Chances for serious heat decrease as the week wears on (StormVista) Published: Today, 4:26 pm Heat levels may peak early week and gradually and unevenly decline through the workweek. Only a 38 percent chance forecast by all weather models on Wednesday that we reach 90 degrees in the graphic above. Storm chances start again Monday and may persist through at least Thursday. Highest chances for severe storms, along with flooding downpours, are most likely Tuesday (above) and Wednesday (below). Monday chances don’t look to high as of now but we do need to monitor for high winds and rainfall rates in the coming days. Flooding downpour chances also enter the picture the same peak days, Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday chances for flooding downpours are marginal but covers the entire region (WPC) We can see even on Wednesday that chances remain marginal as of now. Wednesday chances for flooding downpours Relief from high humidity, as I warned yesterday, may be delayed until the very end of the week or even the weekend — low-medium forecast confidence at best!
