WhatsApp might soon be introducing a new feature allowing users to conduct polls within groups. In the coming few weeks, users may see the polling feature that is currently being tested on the latest beta version. Polls are an option on most apps like Twitter, Telegram and Facebook so it’s about time WhatsApp gets one. While the early rumours indicate the feature is coming to iOS, it will likely include Android as well. The polls on group chats feature is reportedly being tested in WhatsApp’s 22.8.0.72 beta version at present. With the new update, users should be able to create a question with custom choices for responses that people on the group chat can vote for. The number of choices is reportedly limited to 12 and can be rearranged in any order. The Meta-owned messaging app had the polls feature under development for a while until the recent beta version. The fact WhatsApp does not have a rather basic feature like polls seems an oversight on the part of the company, considering it is the primary messaging app in many countries.
