More than 300,000 users experienced issues with YouTube platforms on Tuesday night, according to Downdetector. WASHINGTON — Thousands of users reported issues with YouTube on Tuesday night amid an outage that latest about two hours. After 10 p.m. ET, YouTube reported that the issue was fixed. More than 300,000 users experienced issues earlier in the evening, according to outage-tracking site DownDetector. About half of the reported issues were related to the app, while 19% were for the web version. Separately, more than 8,000 users were experiencing issues with YouTube TV.  YouTube said in a statement: “We’re aware some of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now. Our teams are aware, and we’ll provide updates as soon as we have them.” In an update about 9:20 p.m. ET, YouTube said: “An issue with our recommendations system prevented videos from appearing across surfaces on YouTube (including the homepage, the YouTube app, YouTube Music and YouTube Kids). The homepage is back, but we’re still working on a full fix – more coming soon!” About 10:15 p.m. ET, YouTube reported that issues across all platforms were resolved.
