Markiplier, one of YouTube’s most popular gaming personalities, announced last night via Twitter that he has broken his foot. He simply posted “Might’ve broken my foot” on the social media network before updating fans with “Yeah it’s broke” around an hour later. After seeing this news, many fans might’ve thought that Markiplier, real name Mark Fischbach, had incurred the injury while filming the sequel to his 2019 YouTube interactive adventure, ‘A Heist with Markiplier’. Mark announced in November 2020 that A Heist with Markiplier 2 was in full production. For those who haven’t seen it, these interactive adventures are similar to Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, with viewers making decisions on what to do next to progress the story. The main difference being that A Heist with Markiplier sees the viewer take control of an unseen assistant to Mark, making decisions to help or hinder him. For those who haven’t played it, it’s very entertaining and well worth a look, but it isn’t the first time an interactive adventure has been made via YouTube.
