Michael Hyssong does crazy stuff with cars and trucks for a living, recording his stunts and exploits and posting the videos on YouTube. He got his start six years ago when he posted videos of him doing crazy stuff with his old pickup truck, and it took off. “I come from a lower-middle-class family,” he said, “and when I got my first YouTube check, it was $300. I thought, I could do this.” And he’s still at it. His latest video depicts him jumping his Lamborghini Urus — a $218,000 car — over a Lamborghini Aventador. He is approaching 1.2 million followers on his YouTube channel, Street Speed 717, and, according to his attorney, the 27-year-old Harrisburg resident “makes more money than both of us combined.” It’s all good fun, doing crazy things with very expensive cars and trucks. He didn’t know it would get him into trouble with the law. How he got into trouble involves a Dodge Ram TRX — a pickup that retails for more than $70,000 and is powered by a 702 horsepower Hellcat engine — and Doe Run Creek in northern York County.
