The Brit has set up camp in Los Angeles as she watches all the nominated films, devours profiles of the nominees and plans out her questions so that when she encounters, say, Jacob Elordi as he walks into Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, she can slip naturally into the deadpan affectation she perfected on her wildly popular YouTube series Chicken Shop Date . “I want people to think that I’m there just stumbling upon a conversation,” says Dimoldenberg. “It’s to the point where people don’t think that I’ve written any questions beforehand, which is kind of crazy.”
