Emergency services were called Friday afternoon to go to Royal Road in St-François-de-l’Île-d’Orléans, in the Capitale-Nationale region, for accident involving a single car. According to preliminary information from the Sûreté du Québec, the motorist lost control and his vehicle rolled over before ending in a ditch. The driver, a septuagenarian, was alone in the vehicle. The man was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries. Road conditions could be a factor, according to police. The investigation is continuing.
