Fortinet has quietly purchased cloud and network security startup ShieldX to give customers a more comprehensive view of end users, workstations, and OT devices. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based platform security vendor closed its acquisition of San Jose, Calif.-based ShieldX March 10, a Fortinet spokesperson told CRN, but the company hadn’t publicly announced the deal.
