Emergency services were called around 7 a.m. Sunday after the barge that was being used for hunting ducks turned over where the St. Lawrence meets the Rivière du Nord. A man in his 20s and another man in his 40s were able to swim to shore. The third hunter, who was wearing a life vest, was found floating in the river around 11:30 a.m. The barge remained in the river, apparently stuck in shallow water, said Sûreté du Québec Sgt. Louis-Philippe Bibeau. Advertisement This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.
