The school district sent a letter to employees and families Wednesday announcing the charges against Thomas Duxbury.”Mr. Duxbury has been on administrative leave since April 22, 2022, when the Allegheny County Police Department first made the district aware of a police investigation involving Mr. Duxbury,” Superintendent William Stropkaj wrote. “Most recently, Mr. Duxbury worked as a music teacher at Keystone Oaks Middle School and High School and as a gifted support teacher at Keystone Oaks Middle School.” “At this time, the district has not been made aware that these charges are related to any activity involving Keystone Oaks students,” Stropkaj added. According to the criminal complaint, police say a search of Duxbury’s phone led to the discovery of 80 photos of child pornography and 18 videos depicting child pornography.
